Purim is a holiday with LOTS (purim) of meaning!! Our kehilla/community will gather on erev Purim at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 2070 Ridgecliff Road, Upper Arlington, to fulfill several of the mitzvot/commandments of chag Purim. Our celebration begins at 7:00 with opportunities to make groggers, masks, and banners to be used during our reading of Megilat Esther at 7:30 p.m.

The Little Minyan offers a full day of services and activities designed to allow both communal and individual reflection and teshuvah/turning as we move into the new year with a refreshed and refocused kavannah/intention. Shacharit services begin at 10 a.m. and are followed by Yizkor at approximately noon. The afternoon includes opportunities to walk by the river, sit quietly, journal, read, study, and/or meditate.
On Yom Kippur afternoon, there will be a discussion sessionon the topics of ecology and prayer. It will draw on ideas from the following essays:

Join the Little Minyan for our minhag/custom of meeting "down by the riverside" to cast our misdeeds into the Scioto and reaim our focus for the upcoming year. After our environmentally-focused tashlich service, we will enjoy games, music, food and community, celebrating 5770. Participants should bring a dish to share, your own dishes, drinks, cups, and cutlery. You may also wish to bring lawn chairs or blanket, musical instruments and/or sports equipment. Please also consider extending the evening this year to participate in a brief shofar service.
Join us for a morning of joyful, creative and interactive worship and Torah as, on this first day of the New Year - 5770 - we reexamine B'reshit - the biblical account of the first days.
