When we set out to create our kehilla kedosha (sacred community), we did so with the kavannah (intention) of ensuring members would feel connected within our Little Minyan.  To quote the '80s sitcom, we all wanted to live Jewishly in a space "where everybody knows your name."  Our welcoming community has created such an environment, where visitors are greeted warmly and members' relationships grow with every activity and service.

When we say that the Little Minyan is a "participatory community," that means that each member contributes to our sustainability.  Because we have no paid staff, our members are vital for keeping the day-to-day activities of the group growing and thriving.  Participation can take many forms – sharing personal talents (food, music, art, hobbies), organizing a hike, submitting a poem for our newsletter, leading a worship service, arranging chairs and tables for a seder, or teaching a session with our Family  Education program.  Each member's contribution is equally valued.
