Our Organization

We are organized into teams and specialized groups. The current groups are:

  • Worship Design – Lay members use their talents and energy to plan and conduct all our worship opportunites.
  • Family Education – Weekly intergenerational learning through group programs, home schooling, and family gatherings.
  • Social Action – We translate the benchmarks of our faith into repairing the world through social action.
  • Membership – Explaining our group to prospective members and making new members feel welcome
  • Hospitality – Helping to fulfill the 11th Commandment – Food must be plentiful at social and worship gatherings
  • Finance - Providing financial management
  • Torah Study – Weekly study to learn, discuss, and understand the Torah portion for the week.
  • Research – Actively examines other synagogues, havurot, and related groups in the US, as well as Synagogue 2000/3000 summaries to gather ideas that can be applied to the Little Minyan.
  • Administration – Providing internet, organizational, database, and business support
  • Social Activities – Regular social events in a more informal setting.

We rent space at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 2070 Ridgecliff Rd., in Upper Arlington for most worship services.  We also look for unique spaces such as public parks, university buildings, and outdoor settings to hold our activities.

Our emphasis is on Judaic worship, learning, and social action leading to personal and communal spiritual growth.

The Little Minyan is a 501 3(c) organization.
